Terms of Use

Last updated: October 25, 2026

1. Acceptance of these Terms

Playlog is a game-logging and social tracking app: you log the games you play, rate and review them, build a wishlist, follow other users, and optionally connect gaming accounts (Steam, PlayStation Network, Xbox, GOG) to import your library. By creating an account or using Playlog, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Who can use Playlog

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Playlog account. By signing up, you confirm that the date of birth you provide is accurate and that you meet this requirement. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will delete it.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for anything that happens under your account. Use a real email address you control — it's how we deliver account-security messages (like sign-in verification codes) and how you recover your account. One account per person; don't create an account to impersonate someone else.

4. Your content

Your reviews, ratings, logs, and other content you post are yours. By posting them, you give Playlog a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, display, and distribute that content within the app — for example, showing your review on a game's page or in a friend's activity feed — for as long as your account (or that specific content) exists. You can delete individual reviews/logs, or your entire account, at any time; see Section 8.

You're responsible for what you post. Don't post content that's illegal, harassing, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights. Mark spoilers as spoilers — the app has a dedicated toggle for this.

5. Connecting third-party gaming accounts

Connecting Steam, PlayStation Network, Xbox, or GOG is entirely optional and only happens if you initiate it. When you connect an account, you authorize Playlog to read a limited set of data from that platform (your owned games, playtime where the platform provides it, and — for Steam — your public wishlist) so we can populate your Playlog backlog. Playlog is not affiliated with Valve/Steam, Sony/PlayStation, Microsoft/Xbox, or GOG/CD Projekt, and we're not responsible for those platforms' availability, accuracy, or terms. You can disconnect a linked account at any time from Connect Accounts in your profile.

Connecting a PlayStation Network account works differently from the others: Sony doesn't offer a public API for this kind of integration, so Playlog asks you to manually provide an "NPSSO" token from your own active PlayStation Network session. This is not an integration method officially sanctioned or supported by Sony. By choosing to connect your PlayStation account this way, you acknowledge that doing so may not comply with Sony's own terms of service for PlayStation Network, and that you — not Playlog — are responsible for any consequences Sony may take against your PlayStation account as a result. If you'd rather not take on that risk, simply don't connect a PlayStation account; every other part of Playlog works the same without it.

6. Game data

Game titles, cover art, descriptions, and genre information shown in Playlog are sourced from the IGDB database (owned by Twitch Interactive). We don't guarantee this data is complete or accurate, and it's provided independently of the games' publishers or developers.

7. Acceptable use

Don't: scrape or bulk-extract data from Playlog; attempt to bypass rate limits or security controls; upload malware or attempt to compromise other users' accounts; use the service for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Edit Profile → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — your profile, logs, reviews, follows, connected accounts, and uploaded avatar are removed and cannot be recovered. See our Privacy Policy for details.

9. Disclaimers

Playlog is provided "as is." We work to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that data imported from third-party gaming platforms will always be accurate or up to date. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Playlog is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app changes. If we make a material change, we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know in-app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Playlog after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your own country of residence.

12. This website

This website is the marketing and support site for Playlog. If you send us a message through its contact form, we use the details you provide only to reply to you — see our Privacy Policy.
